Quick Start
Your First Day With Google Workspace.
Four steps to get signed in, protected, and productive.
Sign in to your computer, Chromebook, or gmail.com with the work or school account you were given.
Turn on 2-Step Verification
Follow the prompts to add your phone so a password alone cannot open your account.
Get the apps
Add Gmail, Drive, Meet, and Classroom to your phone, and Drive for desktop to your computer.
Save to Drive
Keep your work in Google Drive or a shared drive so it is backed up and easy to share.

Good Everyday Habits
Small Habits. Fewer Problems.
- Save work in Google Drive or a shared drive instead of only on your computer.
- Share with specific people rather than "anyone with the link."
- Use Report phishing in Gmail for suspicious email instead of forwarding it around.
- Keep your phone set up for 2-Step Verification, and tell us before you replace it.
- Sign out of your account on shared or classroom computers when you are done.
Unexpected Sign-In Prompt?
If your phone asks whether you are trying to sign in and it was not you, tap No, it's not me. Someone may have your password. Then call Freedom Tech at 910-920-0999 so we can check your account and reset your password.
Repeated prompts are a common attack designed to wear you down until you tap Yes.
Never Send These To Anyone
Freedom Tech and Google will never ask you to email, text, or read these aloud.
New Staff Or Student?
Your school or manager requests your account and you receive your sign-in details. Then follow the quick start above.
New Phone?
Contact support before you wipe or trade in your old phone so you do not lose access to 2-Step Verification.
Missing Email Or Files?
Check Spam and the Drive trash first, then contact support. Deleted items can often be recovered.
